Exposure: Native Art and Political Ecology

    10:00 am - 5:00 pm*

IAIA Museum of Contemporary Native American Art

     Mon & Tue – Sat 10:00 am – 5:00 pm/Sun 11:00 am-4:00 pm

Exposure:  Native Art and Political Ecology, including the works of 32 international indigenous artists, documents their responses to the impacts of nuclear testing, nuclear accidents, and uranium mining on Native peoples and the environment. The traveling exhibition and catalog give artists a voice to address the long-term effects of these man-made disasters on Indigenous communities in the United States and around the world. Indigenous artists from Australia, Canada, Greenland, Japan, Pacific Islands, and the United States utilize local and tribal knowledge, as well as indigenous and contemporary art forms as visual strategies for their works. Tours are in one-hour increments. Admission tickets can be reserved online, ahead of entry at www.iaia.edu/store, or in-person at the Museum Store. *The Museum is open 10:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday and Weds-Sat.  Sunday hours are 11:00 am - 4:00 pm and the museum is closed Tuesdays.

Show runs from Fri, Aug 20 through Mon, Jan 3, 2022

108 Cathedral Place, Santa Fe, NM 87501
